DESCRIPTION: Acts as the primary telephone appointment-scheduling representative and customer service representative at front desk. Coordinates check-in activities with other specialists. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Answers patient questions and when necessary directs them to appropriate billing or clinical personnel. • Appointment scheduling. • Facilitate emergency patients with physicians and or technicians. • Assists in answering emergency line and preparing messages for physicians in appropriate manner. • Assists other personnel when needed. • Facilitate emergency patients with physicians and or technicians. • Confirm with patient any referral needs and whose patient they are. Make sure patient understands they are responsible for co-pay and any remaining balance upon arrival. • Collects demographic, insurance information and referral from patient before visit. • Enters patient information into information system. • Take patient messages off of voice mail and make up written messages for physician and other personnel. • Flexibility in work schedule. • Maintains good on the job attendance record. • Maintains work area in neat and orderly manner. • Other duties as assigned. • Performs related work as necessary.
Licensed PA in New Jersey. Must be ACLS certified. If an RA or RPA must also be certified by the ARRT. Prior experience in image guided procedures desired, but not necessary. Opportunity to learn under direct guidance of practicing Interventional Radiologists. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to perform excellent patient care. Must be able to work with technologists and nurses. Bi-lingual is a plus. Flexible and friendly personality. Excellent oral and written skills.
Provide health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Assist Interventional Radiologist with daily procedures. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
